THE STORY OF "ANGELATTE"

(THE ANGELS' MILK)

Did you know that you can make milk from nuts and seeds? The simplest way is to blend raw nuts and seeds with water, strain the blended mixture, add some honey, or not, cocoa powder, or not, whatever else you like, or not, and that's it. When you get it right, it is a superb, heavenly delicious, nectar of the Gods, nutritionally, sensorially and everything else.

ANGELATTE is the first name I gave to my Nut Milk, a never before seen on the market, uniquely delicious beverage I have recently started to manufacture.

It started out in my mind as Angelatti, because my last name is Atti, but eventually I called it ANGELATTE, because LATTE has become such a trendy word, thanks to Starbucks®, that I thought everyone would understand it and, most of all, remember it.

From this combination of the Italian words Angelo and Latte, I meant to convey the promise of a flavor so exquisite that it belongs in the Angelic realms, although we (humans), are lucky enough to have access to it.

Convinced I was onto something, I made labels to convey my message and I brought my Nut Milk to market (you can see the prototype of the first label below).

Certain as I was that my idea was going to work, when a young woman I shared it with looked perplexed, I was dumbfounded. Her main concern was that Angels are culturally incorrect and, aside from the name, which could have been acceptable because no one would have understood it, an Angel on the label was downright suspicious.

I tried to defend my idea: "I don't mean to imply that, if you drink my Nut Milk, you'll go to Heaven! I call it the Angels' Milk because:

1) it is so good that, when I drink it, I feel like I'm in Heaven.

2) it revitalizes my skin and keeps me looking like an Angel (a true fact).

3) it gives our hard working cows a well deserved break

4) it is vegan, organic, made by hand, from seven different kinds of nuts . Nuts are the seeds of large and long living trees, so they must contain plenty of life energy!

5) it is a slow-food, a living food, made by a human being for human consumption. It is so good, in every way, that it could have been inspired by an Angel!

Eventually, I surrendered to the evidence that she was right. And so ANGELATTE is still the name of my company, while my Nut Milk became THAT'S NUT MILK!

Did you know that?

When consumed on a regular basis, added to your bath water or used as a skin cleanser, THAT'S NUT MILK! acts as a moisturizer, and keeps your skin healthy, young looking and hydrated.

This is due to its high content of essential fatty acids, such as the Omega 3, 6 and 9, high quality protein, enzymes and antioxidants like zinc, selenium, manganese and vitamin E.

THAT'S NUT MILK! resembles a legendary elixir used by Patrician women in ancient Rome. These ladies apparently drank and bathed in fresh Nut Milk, sometimes combined with the milk of young mares, because they believed it protected their skin from the sun's rays and from age related deterioration.

What are the ingredients in THAT'S NUT MILK!?

Water, Almonds, Walnuts, Pecans, Hazelnuts, Macadamia, Cashews, Pine Nuts and Brazilnuts.

That's it.

************************************************

How is THAT'S NUT MILK!  made?

Entirely by hand. Fresh, raw, organic, shelled nuts are cleaned, washed, soaked, sprouted and blended with pure spring water and/or distilled water. This mixture is then strained and blended again, several times, until this uniquely delicious extraction has reached perfection.

Is THAT'S NUT MILK! consumed hot or cold?

Either way, as you prefer, but please don't boil it, or you'll destroy some of its living food qualities.

THAT'S NUT MILK! can even be frozen, but make sure to allow for expansion (if you forget this property of water, the bottle WILL burst in your freezer).

THAT'S NUT MILK! can also be enjoyed in your smoothies and shakes, with your cereal, in your tea and coffee, in baking or cooking, by itself or with cocoa, sweetened or not. It is a great substitute for dairy milk, ideal for lactose intolerant individuals or anyone who wishes to avoid dairy products.
